Changing a Colostomy Bag involves removing the old pouch, cleaning the stoma with warm water, drying the skin, and applying a new pouch by placing it snugly around the stoma. Change the pouch every 1-3 days for closed systems or 2-3 days for drainable systems, ideally before meals when the gut is least active.
