Who comes to your home
Every nurse on Aish Health is reviewed and approved by the Aish team before they can accept a booking. We check their identity and their nursing paperwork, and a nurse whose documents are incomplete cannot go live.
Qualifications differ from nurse to nurse, so we do not make a blanket claim about them. Once a nurse accepts your visit you can see who is coming and call them before they arrive. After the visit you can rate it from your orders.

- Certificates
- Experience certificates
When a home nurse is the right choice
A home visit makes sense when the procedure is routine for a nurse but hard for the patient to travel for. The common reasons families in Hyderabad book one are below. If a doctor has asked for any of these after discharge, the discharge summary usually says how often it is needed, which tells you whether to book single visits or a monthly package.
- Dressing changes after knee or hip replacement, plastic surgery, or major and minor surgery
- Diabetic foot and cellulitis dressings that need changing on a schedule
- Intramuscular, subcutaneous and IV injections prescribed by your doctor
- IV fluids, antibiotics, pain relief or other infusions through a cannula
- Urinary catheter insertion or change, bladder irrigation and colostomy bag changes
- Ryles tube insertion, nebulisation and suture removal
- Insulin administration, blood sugar checks and routine vitals
Getting ready for the nurse’s visit
Keep the doctor’s prescription and discharge summary where the nurse can read them. For injections and IV medicines the nurse will ask to see the prescription before starting. Have the medicines themselves at home: the booking covers the nurse’s visit, and consumables such as syringes, cannulas, dressings and catheters are charged extra by the service provider.
A clean surface near the patient, good light and a place to wash hands make most procedures quicker. If the patient has allergies or is on blood thinners, tell the nurse at the start. For anything that looks like an emergency, such as severe bleeding, breathlessness or chest pain, do not wait for a home visit. Go to hospital or call 108.
Single visits or a monthly nurse
Single visits are priced per procedure and visit length, so they suit care that happens once or a few times a week. When a patient needs a nurse every day, a monthly nursing care package books the same professional for 30 days at 8 or 12 hours a day at one package price. For a patient who mainly needs help with bathing, feeding and moving rather than nursing procedures, a caretaker for elderly care may be the better fit.

Questions about home nursing
How soon can a nurse come to my home?
It depends on which nurses are free near you. Slots start from 30 minutes ahead, and the booking screen shows the earliest slot a nurse can take at your pin code before you pay.
Do I need a doctor’s prescription for injections or IV medicine?
Yes. For injections and IV medicines the nurse will ask to see your doctor’s prescription before giving them. Keep the prescription and the medicines ready at home for the visit.
Can I ask for a female nurse?
Yes, on request and subject to availability. Choose your preference when you book.
Are syringes, dressings and other consumables included in the price?
No. The booking price covers the nurse’s visit. Consumables such as syringes, cannulas, dressings and catheters are charged extra by the service provider.
What happens if I cancel a nursing visit?
You get a full refund if you cancel before a nurse accepts, or more than 1 hour before an accepted slot. Cancelling within 1 hour of an accepted slot is not refunded.
How do I know the right nurse has arrived?
Once a nurse accepts, their name, photo and phone number appear on your booking. The visit only starts when you give the nurse a one-time code from your account, and a second code closes it.
Can a nurse stay for several hours?
Yes, for procedures that take time. IV infusions and cannula-based treatments can be booked for longer visit lengths, and each option shows its own price before you pay. For daily shifts, book a monthly package.
How do I pay for a home nurse?
You pay online when you book, by card, UPI or your Aish Health wallet balance. The amount on screen before payment is what you are charged for the visit.
