Ryle’s Tube Insertion is a clinical procedure involving passing a thin, flexible, nasogastric (NG) tube through the nose, down the pharynx and esophagus, into the stomach for feeding, medication administration, or gastric decompression. The process requires selecting the wider nostril, lubricating the tube, using swallowing motions to aid navigation, verifying proper gastric placement, and securing the tube to the nose.
